Welcome Back, Wolfpack!

As the fall semester ramps up, the staff at AIF would like to welcome our AIF users back to campus. This past year has posed enormous challenges, but we are striving to keep our facility open and accessible to all. We’ve made some changes to our operating procedures with the health and safety of everyone in mind. Here is the link to view the simple steps you can take to continue to utilize the AIF. If you have any questions or feedback about these procedures, please email Anna Lumpkin at arlumpkin@ncsu.edu

If you do visit us in the Monteith Research Center or Engineering Building I, please make sure to wear your mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, and follow all NC State University guidelines. Together, we can help those around us stay safe and healthy.

AIF is the primary shared facility for materials characterization with a mission to enable and lead state-of-the-art research through acquisition, development, maintenance, training, and access to major analytical and materials characterization instrumentation. Watch the YouTube video above to learn more! For those that are new to the AIF or want more of an overview of our capabilities, this is a great introduction to our facility. Have more questions? Feel free to email aif-contact@ncsu.edu
