2021 AIF “Best Papers” Wanted

We are pleased to announce the competition for the ninth annual Best Paper Award for work performed, in part, at the Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF), NC State’s primary shared facility for materials characterization.  
 
The 2021 award will be awarded to a student or postdoc who has published an impactful or transformative paper with a publication date of 2020 or 2021. Please nominate excellent papers by October 27 (midnight) by emailing a PDF copy AND a link of the published paper to aif-publications@ncsu.eduThe award is aimed to reward and encourage exceptional research results that utilize the state-of-the-art facilities and staff at AIF. The paper will be displayed prominently within AIF and on the AIF website. The recipient will also receive a cash prize. Past awards can be found here
 
This year, we will announce the award recipients at the Carolina Science Symposium on November 12, 2021. It is not necessary for the recipient to attend the meeting to receive the award, though there is time to register for the meeting (registration is open!).
