Roberto Garcia

Roberto Garcia received his BS in Materials Engineering in 1987 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. While working full time at a local materials testing company, he earned his MS in Materials Engineering part time at RPI. After a brief time at Health Research Inc. at the New York State Health Labs in Albany, NY where he acquired some biological microscopy background, he took a job at Wright State University as the Electron Microscopy Lab manager. He joined the Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF) in 1998 where his duties included Metallography, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, X-ray Diffraction, Sample preparation, Ultra Microtomy, and Focused Ion Beam. He is currently the Operations Manager at AIF. He is a member of ASM and is an organizer of the local MRS/ASM/AVS meeting held annually at NC State.
