Ruksana Baby

Dr. Ruksana Baby earned her Ph.D. in Fiber and Polymer Science (2021), and MS in Textile Engineering (2017) from North Carolina State University. She was born and raised in Bangladesh, and received her BS in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles in 2015. Prior to coming to NC State, she worked with TÜV SÜD Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd. as an Officer-Testing (2015), and EPYLLION GROUP as an Intern (2013). She has joined the Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF) as a postdoctoral researcher in June 2021. Her duties include X-ray Microscopy and Computed Tomography (CT) services along with analysis and interpretation of data. She provides technical advice to researchers studying a variety of material classes, collaborates with researchers on analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing the data, and also trains internal and external users from both industry and academia.
