We have some good news! The AIF was able to secure funding to replace our aging Quanta. This is a great opportunity to update capabilities of our Ga-based FIB and increase reliability and ease of use. We ordered the Scios from ThermoFisher with a delivery date of around mid-April. It will take some time to remove the Quanta and install the new instrument and we are expecting a 1 month long downtime for the entire month of April. Please plan ahead. If you have timely samples or need samples for your thesis, please get them in the queue prior to April 4th.
