The Rietveld method is a routinely applied analysis method to refine crystallographic structure model parameters using experimental X-ray diffraction patterns. This tutorial is a basic introduction to the Rietveld method, including underlying theory and practical aspects of implementation. Participants are expected to bring a laptop and work through several examples using the software package
